Emmanuel Adebayor Threatens to Quit Togo National Team
Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has threatened to quit Togo’s national team for the African Nations Cup in January. Adebayor, 28, if the players are not paid money owed to them by the Togo’s Soccer federation. He further said he would retire from international football if the situation doesn’t change.
Togo have been drawn in the ‘Group of Death which has strong teams like Ivory Coast, Algeria and Tunisia. Adebayo is unhappy with the federation over its handling of bonuses for the players. Adebayor, the key player in Togo’s National team plans for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
