South Africa Fans Will Have To Wait A Little Longer For Bok Coach

Cape Town - South African rugby supporters will have to wait a little longer before the new Springbok coach is confirmed.

It had initially been expected that Heyneke Meyer's successor would be named after Friday's Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Cape Town, but a SARU statement released on Thursday confirmed that this will in fact not be the case. "If the preferred candidate is ratified by the Council the successful candidate (and his management team) will only be named at a media conference on (Tuesday) April 12, following the finalisation of his contract," the statement said.

Other matters expected to be raised at the AGM include a discussion about the events leading to the provisional liquidation of the Kings and the ongoing battle between SA Rugby president Oregan Hoskins and CEO Jurie Roux.
