Getting to Serengeti Sopa Lodge
At Serengeti National Park. The distance is about 335 km (7 hours) from Arusha, 205 km (4 hours) from Manyara, 145 km (3 hours) from Ngorongoro and 30 km from the Seronera airstrip serviced by scheduled flights, twice daily from Arusha via Grumeti and Manyara.
Serengeti Sopa Lodge is built on a hillside overlooking the seemingly endless Serengeti plains that are host to a dramatic annual migration of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and numerous other species of animals indigenous to the area. It is a tranquil and comfortable lodge.

Wall-to-wall carpeting, spacious with a private lounge with a private verandah which offers stunning views over the plains.
Room amenities: Mini bar, a bedroom with two queen size beds and ample room for a third, an en-suite bathroom with shaver sockets and a hair dryer.
Special feature: The highlight being the annual migration of the wildebeestes. From December to May the migration gathers in the immediate vicinity of the lodge and provides a rare, never-to-be-forgotten spectacle.

CLIMATE: With an altitude of 1,615 metres (5,300 feet) and being located in the hills the lodge enjoys cooling breezes. The temperature is comfortably hot during the day, nights can be chilly. Rains occur between November and May, the heaviest rainfall is normally in April. June to October is dry and windy. September and October are much drier before the November rains.
