Samburu Serena Lodge, located in Samburu Game Reserve is one of the established lodges in the rugged game reserve. As for all serena lodges,
this property is designed to be eco friendly and utilizes tribal design
themes, in this case fashioned on Samburu tradional building
styles and decor.
The lodge is airy and well laid out, with colourful decor and African artefacts welcoming guests as they enter the lodge. The main dining area, part of it outdoors, offers views of the nearby Uaso Nyiro river which flows through
the park.
The rooms at Samburu Serena are welcoming and colourful, housed in the chalet type shingled buildings of the lodge which blend into the surrounding acacia trees.
There's a bar and dining area which overlooks the flood-lit expanses of the river and game viewing arena where herds of elephant gather nightly and leopards are lured towards a tree near the lodge using pieces of meat, as bait, so that guests
may get a closer view of this shy animal.
Menus in the Samburu Serena Lodge are created to feature traditional Kenya bush barbecues, spicy ethnic cuisine and internationally-themed favourites.
