Kenya: Deputy Chief Justice Appoints Bench To Hear Cases Related To Dissolution Of Parliament Advisory

 

DEPUTY CHIEF JUSTICE APPOINTS BENCH TO HEAR CASES RELATED
TO DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT ADVISORY
Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu, has appointed a bench of five judges to hear the cases relating to the CJ's Advisory to President Kenyatta to dissolve Parliament.
The Judges are:
• Hon Lady Justice Lydia Achode - Presiding Judge
• Hon Lady Justice Pauline Nyamweya
• Hon Justice George Odunga
• Hon Justice James Makau
• Hon Justice Anthony Ndung'u
News editors are requested to note that it is the DCJ and NOT the CJ who appointed the judges. The CJ, being a respondent to the petitions, could not appoint the bench.
