Mt Kilimanjaro Climb - 7 Days Machame Route Offer Ended

 The  Machame route is the most popular route on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the route of choice for many people because it provides impressive views and a variety of habitats. The Machame Route begins on the southern side of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Machame is a popular route well-known for its incredible scenery. As a result, it is also the route with the most traffic.

 

How Many Kilimanjaro Routes are There?


There are seven major routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. Each is well maintained, and each route has different pros and cons.

The seven routes on Mount Kilimanjaro are:

 

Machame Route


Lemosho Route


Marangu Route


Rongai Route


Shira Route


Northern Circuit Route


Umbwe Route

 

 The best time to climb Kilimanjaro is during the two dry seasons.

  • Short Dry Season: from middle of December through mid-March
  • Long Rainy Season: from end of March to early June
  • Long Dry Season: from mid June to the end of October
  • Short Rainy Season: from beginning of November to beginning of December


Foot traffic on the routes is regulated by the Kilimanjaro National Park Authority. It is required to have a guide for tours on Kilimanjaro.

 

 

You will be picked up from your hotel by the company driver to the Rongai gate.

We will gather in the afternoon for a pre-climb briefing and an equipment check.

We will also confirm you have the appropriate mandatory medical coverage and travel insurance.

Here you will finalize the park registration and permit checks with your guide while your porters and the chef and incorporating all the equipment for easy carrying before you start the journey.

 

 

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via The Machame Route

The Machame route, also known as the Whisky Route is one of the most scenic and recommended routes on Kilimanjaro. This popular route with paths through magnificent forests to gain a ridge leading through the moorland zones to the Shira Plateau. It then traverses beneath the glaciated precipices of the Southern Ice fields to join the Barafu Route to the summit. Because it can be done over longer periods and the incline is more manageable it has a much higher success rate of summit.
