Mamelodi Sundowns won the CAF Champions League final 3- 1 (Aggregate)in Borg El Arab stadium in the away leg of the match despite losing 1 -0 to Zamalek in Alexandria, Egypt. Mamelodi Sundowns went into the Caf Champions League final second-leg clash leading 3-0 on aggregate against Egyptian giants Zamalek. Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango went down injured twice after the 20th minute as pressure mounted on the visitors' defence. Zamalek had the majority of possession in the opening stages of the game as they searched for an early goal in order to unsettle Sundowns.
Zamalek were awarded a free-kick in a promising area five minutes into the second-half, but Khalid Ramzy's effort from the set-piece was blocked by the wall.
Zamalek’s first chance on goal came through Stanley in the eleventh minute as he managed to latch on Ramzy khaled’s through pass inside the penalty box going one-on-one on goal but his outside of the boot shot missed goal.
