Kenya's Hellen Obiri, won the women's Boston Marathon with a winning time of  2:21:38. This was her second marathon.

Ethiopia'sAmane Beriso finished 12 seconds behind Obiri.

Israeli Lonah Salpeter survived a fight for third place with Ethiopia's Ababel Yeshanehto finish with a time of 2:21:57.
