Dubai Marathon 2017: Kenenisa Bekele Goes For World Record in Richest Marathon in The world

Olympic legend Kenenisa Bekele is in Dubai this week for the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon which takes place on Friday 20th January.

The Ethiopian runner will attempt to not only win the race but also break the marathon world record. The prize money at the Dubai Marathon is the biggest in the world, with Bekele set to take home $200,000 for a win and another $250,000 if he breaks the world record.

He spoke to Sam Lloyd today at the event’s press conference.
