In an atmosphere marked by cordiality and pragmatism, the two figures engaged in in-depth discussions on the prospects for bilateral cooperation, with a shared commitment to anchoring this partnership in a renewed dynamic, tailored to the current economic realities of the African continent.

At the center of the exchanges was the need to update existing cooperation instruments to make them more effective and aligned with the opportunities offered by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Ambassador Nacim Gaouaoui emphasized the importance of a proactive approach aimed at transforming the historical relations between the two countries into concrete and mutually beneficial economic partnerships. For her part, Mrs. Rachel PUNGU LUAMBA highlighted the strategic role of ANAPI as a facilitator and supporter of investments in the DRC. She reaffirmed her institution's commitment to working in close collaboration with the Algerian diplomatic representation to identify, structure, and realize promising projects in several key sectors. The discussions also addressed the revival of institutional cooperation mechanisms, particularly the DRC–Algeria joint commission and political consultations, considered essential levers for structuring regular economic dialogue. Both parties underscored the need to organize business forums and meetings between economic operators to foster direct partnerships between the private sectors of the two countries. Furthermore, the Director General of ANAPI presented the progress made by the DRC in improving the business climate. She detailed the reforms undertaken to strengthen legal security, simplify administrative procedures, and ensure an environment conducive to foreign investment. These elements sparked keen interest from the Algerian diplomat, who sees them as encouraging signals for investors from his country.
