The agreement was signed by Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi and AFC President and CEO Samaila Zubairu, in a ceremony witnessed by President William Samoei Ruto on the sidelines of the AFC Annual General Meeting. The establishment of the Nairobi office positions Kenya as a strategic hub for infrastructure financing, leveraging its role as a regional centre for logistics, finance, and technology. AFC plans to mobilise over US$2 billion in the region over the next three to five years, targeting key sectors including transport corridors, energy, special economic zones, and digital infrastructure.
