Between 2021 and 2025, East Africa attracted over US$4.1 billion in private capital across nearly 500 transactions, with Kenya remaining a regional leader in attracting venture capital and other growth financing.
Invest Kenya CEO, @JohnMwendwaOGW, today hosted Christine Maina, CEO of the East Africa Venture Capital Association (@EAVCA), and her team to reaffirm the strategic partnership between Invest Kenya and EAVCA. Our renewed partnership will focus on mobilising private capital into priority sectors, advancing investment policy reforms, strengthening market intelligence, and deepening public-private collaboration.
The meeting also discussed collaboration in the 10th EAVCA Annual Regional Conference, to be held in Nairobi on 2nd –3rd September 2026, bringing together over 300 investors, fund managers, policymakers and business leaders to shape the future of private capital in East Africa.
At Invest Kenya, we believe that private capital is more than financing; it is a catalyst for innovation, enterprise growth, industrialisation and quality jobs. Through strategic partnerships, we are positioning Kenya as the preferred destination for investors seeking high-growth opportunities and long-term value creation.
